Exploring Mount Etna A jeep ride through lava flows, forests and vineyards

Mount Etna, Europe’s highest and most active volcano, rises majestically on the east coast of Sicily. With a height of around 3,300 metres, Mount Etna is an imposing landmark that dominates the island’s landscape. Set off by jeep on a journey of discovery through the volcanic landscape, which takes you through villages, forests and several lava flows. Your adventure begins in Taormina, where you will set off with your private driver towards Mount Etna. The tour takes you along the slopes of the volcano, to the villages of Santa Venerina and Milo, through picturesque pine forests and to a lava cave. At an altitude of around 1,800 metres, you will also go on a short hike to the easily accessible Sartorius craters. At the end of the tour, you will enjoy a tasting of typical Etna wine at a winery. After the tour, your driver will take you back to Taormina. The Etna experience lasts around 8 hours and is conducted in German.
