Geotoura – Hotel concept
When we include a hotel in our programme, it is not only a high standard of quality that is important to us. We prefer typical local accommodation, often boutique hotels with a special ambience. They emphasise the character of an individual trip: Panoramic views, particularly lovely furnishings, a location in historic centres, no mass tourism and, of course, exceptionally friendly hosts – these are important criteria for us.
We divide our hotels into four separate Geotoura categories. Of course, you have the choice and can also combine the categories on one trip.
Boutique Hotels – Four categories
Encantador (“Charming”): Our most affordable option. Lovingly furnished rooms that offer everything the discerning traveller expects.
Especial (“Special”): Hotels with a special ambience – historic palaces, monasteries, haciendas or beach hotels with exceptional charm. Perfect for the classic cultural tour.
Extraordinario (“Extraordinary”): Luxurious hotels in excellent locations and with the highest level of comfort, often in centuries-old aristocratic palaces, old oil mills or haciendas.
Luna de Miel (“honeymoon”): For the honeymoon – span. Luna de miel – or if you want to treat yourself to something out of the ordinary …

Character of this travel idea
Provence is much more than just a holiday destination, Provence is a way of life that you can fully immerse yourself in on this individual 9-day round trip. Let yourself be carried away by the special atmosphere in the towns and enjoy the scent of the lavender fields in the hills of the Luberon. Our Provence round trip offers you exactly the mix of culture and nature you are looking for.
Experience culture
Cultural highlights await you during your Provence tour in Avignon, a city known for its imposing papal palace. The medieval architecture tells of the glorious times when Avignon was the seat of the papacy. In contrast, Arles impresses with its well-preserved Roman buildings, including the ancient amphitheatre.
In Aix-en-Provence, birthplace of the famous painter Paul Cézanne, you can follow in the artist’s footsteps and admire his works in museums. Marseille, the oldest city in France, offers modern architecture such as the ‘Mucem’ museum as well as a rich history that is reflected in every corner of the city.

Nature paradise Provence
The Gordes Gorge, near the Luberon, impresses with its rugged rock formations and picturesque villages nestled against the mountainsides. Here you can go hiking and enjoy the breathtaking views. The Alpilles chain offers you a spectacular backdrop of rugged mountains and olive groves, which are bathed in a golden light, especially at sunset.
Turquoise blue water and dramatic cliff landscapes will amaze you in the Parc des Calanques. Located near Marseille, you can get to know this impressive stretch of coast at the end of your round trip through Provence.Just a short drive from Arles, you will come across wild horses and pink flamingos in the almost unspoilt natural setting of the Camargue.

The rich culinary delights of Provence
Your culinary journey begins in Arles with the famous cuisine of Provence. A wide variety of dishes await you here, ranging from fresh seafood to typical local specialities such as ‘Boeuf en Daube’. In Avignon, try a traditional ratatouille or the herb-infused ‘tapenade’, a paste made from olives, capers and anchovies that goes perfectly with fresh baguette.
In Aix-en-Provence, the market attracts visitors with fine local products such as lavender honey and goat’s cheese. Finally, enjoy the famous bouillabaisse in Marseille, a flavoursome fish soup that originated here.

The authentic Provence
Your journey has many unforgettable experiences in store. Hike in the Alpilles, past olive groves and old mills, and savour the scent of Provence. A highlight is a visit to the Gordes Gorge, where you can not only marvel at the imposing rock faces, but also discover the picturesque village of Gordes, which is one of the most beautiful villages in France.
