Amalfi Coast 2024 & 2025
“The views on the Amalfi Coast always take my breath away. Several hundred metres above the sea, you look down on the small bays of the steep coast of the Gulf of Salerno – far away from the hustle and bustle of its small, traditional towns and large metropolises. With this view, you will immediately understand why this only eight kilometre long stretch of coastline has attracted artists and intellectuals, aristocrats and bourgeois alike since the 19th century.
That’s why I would like to share my enthusiasm for the Amalfi Coast with you and show you the best way to get to know this region. Perhaps, for example, you could take a trip in a hire car or in your own car and then take plenty of time to visit the places that fascinate you the most.
By the way: your journey begins at home. Depending on where you are departing from, we will also plan and organise the route and your accommodation in the transit countries up to your destination.”

Experience culture on the Amalfi Coast
Word has spread around the world that the narrow road named after the town of Amalfi, which winds along the steeply sloping rocky coast not only offers unique panoramas, but also leads past picturesque places that have a lot to offer culturally.
You should visit the 10th century cathedral in Amalfi with its bell tower and cloister of paradise as well as the lovingly renovated Villa Rufolo near Ravello and Santa Maria Assunta, built on the coast, with its yellow-green decorated dome made of majolica ceramics in Positano. You should also include the monastery of Santa Maria Olearia and the 9th century castle of Santa Nicola de Thoro-Plano in Maiori in your cultural programme. Almost all of these historic places offer visitors interested in culture sights that are definitely worth a stopover.
It is also not far to Naples or the ruins of Pompeii or Herculaneum, which were destroyed by Vesuvius, making your hire car tour along the Amalfi Coast a cultural highlight.
Amalfi Coast – a natural beauty
Unique panoramas are not only on offer along the world-famous coastal road. Hikers and mountaineers also get their money’s worth here, as they are rewarded time and again for their efforts with wonderful views of the Gulf of Naples, the Gulf of Salerno or even Vesuvius. There are also numerous hiking trails in the Monti Lattari, which lie between the gulfs.
But the Gods’ Path from Agerola to Positano is also a great way to hike and enjoy nature – past beautiful gardens and colourful vegetation. Let yourself be enchanted by the scent of the macchia and whet your appetite for more.
Amalfi Coast – savour the culinary delights
The Amalfi Coast is also a delight for the palate. Thanks to its location between the sea and the mountains and its numerous vegetable gardens, it has a varied and very flavoursome cuisine. Fresh fish and ‘frutti di mare’ are of course at the top of the menu, but each place has its own recipe, so it never gets boring. But the cuisine has much more to offer. Pasta varieties such as ‘scialatielli’ or ‘ndunderi’ are typical of the Amalfi Coast, as are the caciocavalli cheese, smoked provole and ricotta.
A good wine, a limoncello or a typical dessert such as ‘Delizia al Limone’ will also make your tour of the Amalfi Coast a culinary experience.
Amalfi Coast authentic and up close
Of course, you can also book guided tours of the most famous towns and culturally significant sites on our round trips along the Amalfi Coast. However, our programme goes far beyond this, because we want you to get to know and understand the country and its inhabitants better.
That’s why we offer experiences that give you a glimpse behind the scenes. Culinary experiences and tastings give you an insight into the specialities of Amalfitan cuisine. The lemony-sweet limoncello is a balm for the palate and just as much a part of Sorrento as any other corner of Italy.
Join a producer on a journey and follow the liqueur from the fragrant groves to the bottle. Listen to the stories about this delicious speciality and let the limoncello and other liqueurs, jams and a uniquely delicious lemon ice cream melt on your tongue.
