Individual tours
through Tuscany 2024 & 2025
“Tuscany … For me, that means cypress trees, traditional villages, dreamy vineyards and exquisite Chianti, which is made from the grapes that grow there. There’s nothing better than standing on the balcony of one of the typical houses and enjoying the surroundings with a good drop of wine. This landscape seems to me to be the Italian Eldorado for photographers.
For me, Tuscany is also the rich medieval metropolises such as Florence, which show their wealth in fascinating buildings such as the Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore, with sublime palazzi and with villas and their extensive gardens. This region simply has its very own, unmistakable style, which you are sure to fall in love with during your round trip in a hire car.
Of course, your Tuscany tour can also start right on your doorstep. When travelling by your own car, we also plan and organise the route and accommodation for your individual trip through the transit countries according to your wishes.

Tuscany – cultural treasure trove
Magnificent Renaissance cities, excellent wines, art, cypress-lined avenues, rolling hills and medieval villages… These are clichés, but they are also reality, and yet they are far from being all that you will experience on your tour of Tuscany. Of course, cities such as Florence with the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and the Medici Palace are just as much a part of it as Siena Cathedral – a masterpiece of Gothic architecture made of white and black marble.
Highlights such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the medieval old town of Lucca, which is surrounded by a mighty city wall, or the impressive towers of San Gimignano are almost a must for culturally interested visitors.
What makes your tour of Tuscany unforgettable is precisely this mixture of unique art and cultural experiences, culinary delights, traditional workshops where products made of ceramics, terracotta or alabaster are still made using ancient techniques. Would you like to delve deeper into the history of Tuscany? Then follow in the footsteps of the enigmatic Etruscans, who left behind a wealth of stone evidence in the form of necropolises and wall remains, as well as sculptures, grave goods and wall paintings.
Tuscany Tour – Pure nature
Tuscany is also a real treat for nature lovers. On your tour, you can look forward to numerous hiking trails through the Chianti region, where culinary delights are also not neglected.
The varied and contrasting landscapes of the island of Elba and the lagoon of Ortobello are a treat for the eyes and soul, as are the beautiful coastal walks in the Maremma. If you want to get up high, you should not miss the alpine landscape of the Apuan Alps, where numerous circular hiking trails and routes invite you to explore.
If you prefer flat terrain, you will probably enjoy hiking along the numerous lakes in Tuscany, which not only offer beautiful views and bird watching, but also fantastic spots for a picnic.
Tuscany Culinary delights
The cuisine of Tuscany is simple, rustic and extremely tasty. Bread, and unsalted bread at that, plays a major role here and will accompany you everywhere on your round trip through Tuscany. Fettunta or one of the many crostini variations are often served as a small greeting from the kitchen. Soups are also popular – rich ones such as ribollita or pappa al pomodoro. Vegetable soups such as carabaccia, zuppa di porri or fagioli are also extremely delicious.
Compared to the rest of Italy, the pasta dishes are rather modest. Pappardelle, for example, are delicious – wide ribbon noodles that are often eaten with meat sauces such as game, hare or even rabbit. Meat dishes are generally very popular in Tuscany. Whether boiled, roasted or braised, as bistecca or arista alla fiorentina, ossobuco, stracotto or peposo – the range of meat dishes is immense.
This also applies to vegetables, with beans and black cabbage, cavolo nero, being the frontrunners here and used in numerous dishes. Why not enjoy a picnic in the countryside? With pecorino, finocchiona, an aromatic fennel salami, cantuccini and a good bottle of Chianti or Montepulciano in the basket, this becomes a culinary experience.
Tuscany – authentic and up close
On our Tuscany tours, you can of course also book guided tours of the most famous cities and culturally significant sites. However, we also want you to get to know and understand the country and its people better. That is why we have selected experiences that provide a glimpse behind the scenes.
For example, you can explore the world of perfume by visiting the Villa of Lorenzo Villoresi, who is considered a pioneer of Italian niche perfumery. Follow the path of the scent from the plant to the finished perfume in the bottle. Or discover the tasty world of Tuscan cuisine on a guided tour in Lucca – a tour of pure pleasure!
