Geotoura – Hotel concept
When we include a hotel in our programme, it is not only a high standard of quality that is important to us. We prefer typical local accommodation, often boutique hotels with a special ambience. They emphasise the character of an individual trip: Panoramic views, particularly lovely furnishings, a location in historic centres, no mass tourism and, of course, exceptionally friendly hosts – these are important criteria for us.
We divide our hotels into four separate Geotoura categories. Of course, you have the choice and can also combine the categories on one trip.
Boutique Hotels – Four categories
Encantador (“Charming”): Our most affordable option. Lovingly furnished rooms that offer everything the discerning traveller expects.
Especial (“Special”): Hotels with a special ambience – historic palaces, monasteries, haciendas or beach hotels with exceptional charm. Perfect for the classic cultural tour.
Extraordinario (“Extraordinary”): Luxurious hotels in excellent locations and with the highest level of comfort, often in centuries-old aristocratic palaces, old oil mills or haciendas.
Luna de Miel (“honeymoon”): For the honeymoon – span. Luna de miel – or if you want to treat yourself to something out of the ordinary …

Andalusia culinary delights
In addition to its authentic Mediterranean cuicine, Andalusia is celebrated chiefly for its tapas. The ‘tapeo’ is an Andalusian custom in which the small appetisers are eaten in company and accompanied by a glass of wine or the increasingly popular Spanish beer. In other words, eating is a sociable experience in which the restaurant is often changed for the next bite.
Moorish influences can also be found in Andalusian dishes, for example in the use of spices such as saffron, cumin, oranges, almonds and honey. Fish and seafood are naturally at the top of the menu, especially on the coast.
In the interior, on the other hand, it is more hearty meat dishes that tantalise the palate. A particularly refreshing drink is the sherry produced in Andalusia – well chilled and ranging from really sweet to very dry, there is something for every taste.
Not forgetting the Jamón Ibérico – sliced into wafer-thin slices – which you should not miss out on when travelling through Andalusia.
