Travelling with your own car

Our individual tours with your own car

Your holiday starts at your front door

“For me, a holiday in my own car means absolute freedom. With a well-planned itinerary, I can discover interesting places on the outward journey and reach my destination at my own relaxed pace. True to the motto ‘The journey is the destination.”

I particularly like to choose this form of travel for my holidays in the north of Italy. During a stopover in beautiful Zurich, surrounded by mountain peaks, I immediately switch to slowing down! But the unspoilt north of Spain, to which the outward and return journey takes me through France’s medieval villages, wine regions and Provence with its glowing lavender fields, is also the ideal destination for a trip in my own car. You can’t collect more impressions on a journey.

Wonderful self-drive destinations are not only waiting in the south of Europe. With a ferry and a little more time in your luggage, a trip to Scotland in your own car is like city hopping. First pay a visit to lively Amsterdam, then get in the mood for Scottish culture in Edinburgh. It would be a shame to miss out on all this by travelling by plane!

Our recommendation for you

The lakes of northern Italy are the gems of their region. The narrow, elongated Lago Maggiore transports you to a wonderful world with its picturesque islands and small towns such as Stresa, which Ernest Hemingway memorialised in his novel ‘A Farewell to Arms’ after his visit there. The picturesque Lake Como enchants you with postcard panoramas that even Hollywood has fallen in love with - as scenes from ‘Star Wars’, ‘Casino Royale’ and ‘Ocean's 12’ prove. The azure-blue Lake Garda, surrounded by a breathtaking mountain panorama, attracts visitors with its magnificent landscape and the small, cosy towns on its shores. On this 12-day round trip, you will start at home and end up in the middle of the most beautiful lake landscapes in northern Italy, where you will fall in love with this magnificent scenery time and time again.

Round trips Albania: Reasons why we love this hidden jewel

White sandy beaches and turquoise-coloured sea, but also majestic mountains: Albania's breathtaking nature is reminiscent of exotic long-haul destinations. This is complemented by culture and architecture from the most diverse periods. The Balkan country, which lies on both the Adriatic and the Ionian Sea, is nevertheless a real insider tip!
