My favourite destination to soak up the sun? Without a doubt: the South of Europe! Where else can you find such a variety of nature & culture, fantastic cuisine and beautiful beaches? Especially now in winter, the next sun holiday can’t come soon enough. It’s a good thing that many destinations are already tempting with warm temperatures in spring. What could be nicer than sitting in a street café in cities such as Sevilla or Bari in March or hiking through blooming landscapes such as Madeira , the “Hawaii of Europe”?
Or are you more “Team Summer & Beach” and can hardly wait to jump into the sea? The beaches of Albania with their white sand and turquoise water are reminiscent of exotic holiday destinations. With over 400 kilometres of coastline, you will definitely find your personal dream beach here.
Incidentally, the absolute all-rounder for me when it comes to summer destinations is still the sunny island of Crete . Mediterranean lifestyle, fantastic food, ancient cultural sites and dream beaches. What more could you want?

‘Handing over’ the organisation of our trip to Scotland to Geotoura was the best decision! Everything worked out perfectly, the choice of hotels was superb and the tour (from Glasgow up the west coast to Thurso in the north and then back down the east coast to Edinburgh) was perfect. The visit to the Military Tattoo in Edinburgh was the highlight and the crowning glory of our trip. Even the weather played along and it only rained on two days in total during our three-week trip. If you have a flair for Arabic, Oriental and African customs and traditions, Andalusia is the right place for you. It's amazing what the Andalusians have done with all these influences. From snow-capped mountains to the sea in 2 hours by car. From fertile regions to absolute drought in less than 2 hours by car. Geographically as interesting as it is culinary.
