Geotoura Travel lab
Develop with us new Slow Travel ideas
Dear Geotoura guests ,
A completely new section of Geotoura will soon be created on this page: our Geotoura travel lab. What will be hidden behind it? New, exciting travel inspiration on the topics of sustainable travel and slow travel. As the name ‘lab’ suggests, it’s all about trying out new travel ideas and gradually developing them further. From round trips by train or electric car to glamping and new themed trips on culinary, culture and nature. One thing will also be the focus of all trips here: Getting to know a destination authentically, far off the beaten track.
In the near future, you will therefore find a colourful potpourri of new slow travel ideas here, which you can of course also book via Geotoura. That’s why you play a special role in our travel lab: What travel topics are you most interested in and what are you missing from our individual Geotoura round trips?
We want to hear your ideas and wishes and fill the travel lab together with you. Simply send us an email and let us know which type of trip, travel theme or accommodation type would be the perfect slow travel experience for you. We look forward to embarking on this adventure with you!
What does it actually mean – Slow Travel?
Slow travelling’, or “slow travel” as it is now known to most people, is a trend that is the exact opposite of mass tourism. This type of travelling focuses ongetting to know a country and its people intensively, appreciating the culture and nature and treating them with care. As a result, slow travel usually automatically goes hand in hand with sustainability, as people use other means of transport such as aeroplanes and cars. However, other factors also play a role, such as typical, natural accommodation and visits to regional restaurants, farms or other local producers. Travelling outside the peak season and taking longer trips to experience different places intensively also characterise Slow Travel.
